Rumor has it that there's already a working prototype of the PSP 2, and that it has done away with the UMD format.

Well since everything is going Wi-Fi and 3G now, I guess this means that we're soon saying goodbye to the gaming cartridge age.

What about backward compatibility? I hope Sony takes that into account.

If thisis true then I will look into this. I hope it doesn't fail like the DS 0.2 megapixel camera or whatever it was!

I hardly think so, what they only have is the Move. And i think they'll focus on that a bit.

Doubt there's going to be a PSP 2 this year they were to busy with PS Move.
