You are entitled to your own opinion. But, I've enjoyed playing most Tony Hawk games (apart from Downhill Jam).
Another good PS2 game would be;

PS2
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 - Spectacular game with awesome infantry and vehicular combat. The online play is good (good internet connection needed), and the campaign missions are also good.

how anyone played Syphon Filter 3 on PS1.Game is absolutely awesome and it is one of my favourites.
Also NFS Porcshe Unleashed for PS1 is good,Resident Evil 2 is good,and WE,for PS2 I played only GTA San Andreas and Hitman............
