On a similar note, was playing dead center ala last man on earth, hunter was waiting to ambush me and I just didn't hear the growl. He pounced and I screamed like a little sissy. Thankfully you just go B&W and don't have to start all over. |
I was playing Hard Rain for the first time ever.
Evil. F'ing. Level.
Especially when you have to run through the puddles at the very end and the field when you get to the gas station. Things you shouldn't have to do by yourself.
IDK if other maps are the same, but TWO tanks as one player in a small area (rooftop; ground is flooded, so you can't go down without moving slower than the tank) is insanely unfair. I died so many times, but even got it.
If you play that level, use the adrenaline shots to move regular speed through the flooded waters. There are two at the very end. I got all healed up and what-not, ready to leave. Used one and immediately grabbed the other, then ran fast through the puddles to the building. I saved the other for when the boat came so I could run through the flood to the boat without dying at the last minute.
But there is definitely something about Last Survivor that gets the adrenaline running. Whenever I play 4 player, special infected don't matter. They're easy to kill, and if you get hit, you're more mad at your teammates for not helping. On Last Survivor, they're scary as balls, and absolutely
infuriating... the way a zombie game should be.
